Anne’s Atelier
It’s so interesting to take a step back and look at your own creative business from time to time. The reason I’m saying this is because I didn’t realize that I’ve never written a blog post about my own creative membership before! It’s the best kept secret in my business and is truly a treasured program.
Let’s pull back the curtain and talk about: Anne’s Atelier!
Atelier means creative studio in French and since I grew up in Paris I thought it would be the perfect name for this very special program for creatives like YOU.
Take a minute to reflect on how you’re doing right now. Does any of this sound like you?
you’re working towards your surface pattern design goals and need accountability to stay on track
you're looking for a community to join where you can participate in live networking and Q&A sessions on zoom where you can interact directly with me and other amazing creatives
you want clarity around the specific next steps to take right now in your surface pattern design journey to move forward more effectively
you yearn for way to connect more deeply with other creatives who are on a similar journey
One of the most important things I learned from my friend and mentor, the “membership guru”, Stu McLaren, is that memberships need to deliver value without being overwhelming. That’s why Anne’s Atelier is structured around one activity per week and everything is available on replay in case you can’t join sessions live.
The flow of the membership goes like this:
First Monday of the month: Accountability session on Zoom. This session is geared towards celebrating successes from the prior month and setting goals for the current one. Sharing your goals out loud makes them real and studies show that you’re much more likely to achieve them when you share them and write them down.
Second Monday of the month: “How I Did This” Spotlight Interviews. Creative entrepreneurs share their successes in this unique setting. Recent topics include:
how Claire Gentry set up her KDP shop on Amazon,
how Vanessa Lowry completed her portfolio using mockups
how Debby McLaughlin signed her first licensing contract!
Third Monday of the month: Training lessons on a variety of surface pattern design topics. Right now, we’re doing a series of training sessions on Patterns & Portfolios. Members are learning about how to use templates to create designs with more flow and structure. And we’ll be diving into how to create portfolios using easy-to-use templates on Canva.
Fourth Monday of the month: We wrap things up with a Q&A session on zoom.
The best part of the membership is guiding members from the beginning of their surface pattern design journey to achieving their specific creative goals. Just like you, members have very unique goals, and achieving them together is the best reward.

MEET ANNE
Hi…I’m Anne!
My creative inspiration comes from a lifetime of observation. I grew up in Paris on the Place St. Sulpice and walked to school through the Luxembourg gardens. And that was only the beginning… Learn more by watching the video on my About page.
